MManipTher Bsc(Hons) MCSP HPC
I have worked as a physio since qualifying from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in Cardiff in 1997. Presently I am working with sporting teams and in occupational health settings, as well as at the clinic, where I work predominantly with spinal conditions.
In 2002 I undertook the world-renowned Master of Manipulative Therapy Course in Perth, Australia, widely thought of as one of the best postgraduate courses for physiotherapists. During this course I was taught by some of the most highly regarded physiotherapists in the world, learnt many cutting edge techniques and approaches, and was provided with a comprehensive understanding of the best treatments available to physiotherapists today.
Through this course I have developed an interest in treating some of the most complex and challenging conditions, especially in the areas of the back and neck.
I have been involved in sports injury management since qualifying, working with the Great Britain Bobsleigh Team, the Great Britain Mens Hockey Team, several rugby teams, including the Celtic Warriors and I am currently physiotherapist for the Welsh Ladies Hockey Team.
I presented the research I undertook as part of my Masters course in the World Physiotherapy Congress 2003 in Barcelona, this research was published in a peer- reviewed journal, Manual Therapy in 2005.
